Finally made it o Colorado at 7pm. After theQantas flight broke the aircon value and needed replacing which delayed us for an hour, the United flight broke a hydraulic pipe and needed replacing which delayed us in LA, then when they were testing the new pipe, they blew the oil seal out s had to fix that too. Get to LAX at 6am, leave for Denver at 4pm.

Another big day today with the sports store shopping and the double header practice games. we had a few nerves in the first game and didnt really get out of first gear all game, boys were flat and just went through the motions and we were beaten 14-3. The second game we came out firing, the nerves were going and we hit top gear early to win 17-5. Our pitchers threw the ball very well in both games, defense is what will hurt us in the tournament. We can't give these american teams 5 and 6 outs an inning, they will hurt us. Opening ceremony tomorrow afternoon and the skills challenge where the Aussie boys can put on a show.

What a full on day. We spent most of today at the Castle Rock outlet shops. That place is massive. Our parents picked up quite a few bargins. This afternoon we had the opening ceremony. What a fantastic effort from the organisers to have this event run so smoothly. The boys had an absolute ball and made a lot of new friends. We were diffinately the team who everyone wanted to trade with. We are having a lazy morning tomorrow before heading to the yard for our first round game. Carter will get the ball for the first game.

The first tournament day is over. We played the Nabraska Diamond Dawgs today. Carter was impressive on the mound and after 4 innings we trailed 1-0. We swung the bats well but couldnt get the critical hits with runners in scoring position and we went down 4-0. Full credit to these boys, they played very good baseball today and we will see what happens tomorrow. The Diamond Dawgs won this tournament 2 years ago and they played perfect baseball today. This evening we went to the Rockies game, the boys had a blast getting down on the field for the parade. The Rockies TV network even came up and had a live interview with me in the 7th inning which was different. Tomorrow we play 2 games, a 10am and a 5pm. Dan Reid gets the ball for game 1, Luke Cronan gets the ball for game 2. For the parents of the boys travelling by themselves, they are all going well. They are eating properly and having a lot of fun :)

Double header today didn't go to plan. The first game we got into trouble early with errors in the field. The HVA storm red came out hard and took a 4-0 lead after the first. The boys were flat and didn't look motivated at all. The game ended up blowing out to a 10-4 loss. With a 4 hr gap between games, we went and had lunch and headed to yet another sports store where we shopped until it was time to get back to the field. The second game started out the same as the first, We managed to keep the score close until late in the game when it blew out to 9-1 so we are still seaching for our first win in this tournament. After the game, we again went to see the Rockies play. An off day tomorrow sees us going to the Royal Gorge Bridge then a trip to the USA Olympic training facility.

What a day. today we went down to the Royal Gorge Bridge. That is a sight you need to see for yourself. photos just won't do it justice. After lunch we headed out to the USA Olympic Training Complex and it is no supprise why the USA team is so strong every 4 yrs. That place is amazing. We then headed on to Hooters in Colorado Springs for dinner (the boys choice not mine) where the boys had a lot of fun photos to follow if not already on FB. Tomorrow we play batters box white at 10am, Lindsay gets the ball for this game. Hopefully tomorrow the boys will be ready to play and come out on top.

What a great day for baseball. The weather over here has been fantastic. We played the Batters Box White team today and the boys really came out focused for the first time this trip. Lidsay threw the ball well and we swung the bats finally to take a 6-4 win. The Colorado Cheerleaders came down to cheer the boys on today in outfits they made just for the team. We invited them to come with us on our sights today. 16 boys and 4 young cheerleaders made for a great afternoon filled with swimming and kangaroo court. We play at 10am tomorrow and Carter will get the ball.

What a day. The morning game had the boys come out on fire and we put 5 runs on the board in the first 3 innings, we played solid defence, swung the bats good and were aggresive on the bases. Carter was outstanding on the mound giving up 1 unearned run in 3.2 innings of work. We struggled to throw strikes in the 4th and couldnt shut down the inning and we ended up going down 7-5. This loss now meant we had to play at 2pm, so off for a quick tour of Coors field and back to the ballpark for game 2. Lewis started and threw the ball very well, again, costly errors let the pythons score 5 early runs. we battled back but ran out of time and ended up going down 7-1. Straight on the bus to head to Colorado Springs for the Skysox AAA game. The boys ran onto the field with the Skysox players for the national anthem, then headed up to our seats to enjoy the game. Today was a long day. Tomorrow is our last game of the tournament. Josh will get the ball. Hopefully we can finish with a win.

What a great way to finish the tournament, we came out firing this morning and scored 14 runs in the first inning to set the stage. Final score was 20-8. Every player on this team has contributed over the last week or so and have done themselves and their counrty proud. We are still getting stopped in the street as the locals still recognise us from the TV. After the game we headed up to Estes Park to the Rocky Mountains. What a sight. 12000 feet above sea level. We leave for LA in the morning, Angels game tonight which is on ESPN so tape the game, we will be doing everything we can to get on the telecast :)

What a day. 6am flight out of Denver and spent the morning on a guided tour of Los Angeles and Anaheim. After lunch, more outlet shopping and a few more suitcases bought then checked into the hotel and off to the Angels game. This game was ESPN Sunday night baseball back home, if anyone saw the team in the stands during the telecast, please let me know. The boys were doing everything they could to get on TV! Tomorrow is a day at Universal Studios then back to Angel stadium for the Royals game.

Another day over, this morning we headed to Universal Studios. What a great day out for the group, although my hearing is still gone from B's screaming on the tour cart!!! If anyone wants a copy, I have the video LOL. Tonight was another Angels game. Free day tomorrow, then Bubba Gump for dinner and another ball game.

Everyone is worn out. There was plenty of shopping done today in Downtown Disney. Disneyland and California Adventure Park was the venue for today. They are right when they say one day is not long enough! These places are amazing, Memories these boys will have with them for life.

This was our final day in the USA. First we had a stadium tour of Dodger Stadium. There was a lot of history in this stadium. Off to Santa Monica, this place is NOT like it is on TV LOL, WOW, that was an experience. Off to Beverley Hills then on to Hollywood. Our driver Don was awesome. He knew everything there is to know about California, Well, how would we know if he did or not, he could of just made it up on the spot. We wouldn't of known any different. Time to go, Off to LAX for the long flight home. See you next year.

A trip to definitely remember Scott! Thanks for providing Akhil with playing ball on American soil (home of baseball). I think the highlight for me was just enjoying the company and the sights and the sounds! I would do it over in a heartbeat!
